About Reptiles
Reptiles are cold-blooded vertebrates. They have dry skin covered with scales and bony plates. What are they and where do they live.

There are over 8700 species of reptiles, including crocodiles, snakes, lizards and turtles. Birds share a common ancestor with crocodiles, which means they are technichally one lineage of reptiles, but they are treated seperately.
There are more groups of reptiles than this, but these are the major groups of living reptiles:
